B-Dubs Challenges Fans to “Beat the Buffalo” and Offers Can’t-Miss Deals to Celebrate the Tournament
A buffalo walks into a sports bar and picks a March Madness bracket…
To celebrate this year’s tournament, Buffalo Wild Wings, the Official Sports Bar of March Madness, is having a real buffalo, Jack, pick a bracket for both the men’s and women’s tournaments.
Following the buffalo’s selection, B-Dubs is putting all basketball fans to the ultimate test: can you Beat the Buffalo? On March 19, Buffalo Wild Wings will release the buffalo’s completed brackets, and fans can submit their own brackets to BeatTheBuffalo.com to see how they stack up against the buffalo’s. Submissions for both the men’s and women’s brackets will close at noon on Thursday, March 21.
As the tournaments go on, 10% of the challengers with a better bracket than the buffalo will have a chance to win bragging rights and some amazing prizes – a year’s worth of free wings and tickets to next year’s Final Four. (T&Cs apply)*
Fans can also kick off the tournament’s opening weekend at B-Dubs with a sweet “BOGO March Madness” deal! On Thursday, March 21, guests can buy one, get one free boneless wings for dine-in, takeout, or delivery – and also try Buffalo Wild Wings’ new Honey Sriracha and returning favorite Honey Garlic sauces.**
“As the official sports bar of March Madness, we’re the best place to watch games all tournament long,” said Tristan Meline, Chief Marketing Officer at Buffalo Wild Wings. “We are known for taking things up a notch during the tournament and this year is no exception. We are doing something only B-Dubs could ever do: have a real Buffalo pick a bracket.”
Returning for March Madness this year is BWW’s legendary Overtime Wingtime deal, all tournament long. When a March Madness men’s or women’s game goes into overtime, America’s largest sports bar will once again dish out free boneless wings to Blazin’ Rewards members.*** In past years, fans have enjoyed over two million free wings thanks to overtime.
To qualify, Blazin’ Rewards members just need to check in or order via Blazin’ Rewards on the same day a game goes to overtime before the end of regulation. If you’ve checked in or placed an order via Blazin’ Rewards and an NCAA tournament matchup goes to overtime, six free boneless wings will be delivered to your Blazin’ Rewards account within 72 hours. Unused Rewards will be valid for 30 days after the NCAA championship game. For more information, please visit buffalowildwings.com/overtime-wingtime.

Odds Of A Perfect March Madness Bracket: Why It Could Take About 1,000 Years To See One. If you flipped a coin for every game in the NCAA Men's Division I College Basketball Tournament the odds of a perfect bracket are astronomical. It would be about 1 in 9.2 quintillion. We'll spare you having to read all those zeros.
According the NCAA, every year between 60 million and 100 million NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament brackets are filled out. Every single person who does it, be it for gambling reasons or pure fun, entertains the thought (however fleetingly) that they might be the one to correctly predict all 63 games.
The most common method is to award 1 point for correct predictions in the first round, 2 in the second round, 4 in the third, 8 in the fourth, 16 in the fifth, and 32 in the sixth and final round. However, you could also go with a point scheme like 1-2-3-4-5-6 to make each round weighted more evenly.
NO ONE HAS EVER picked a verified perfect NCAA men's bracket, and it's probably not going to happen in our lifetime, or the lifetime of our kids, or their kids, or their kids.
The answer is a resounding no. There has never been a perfect bracket that correctly guessed the outcome of all 63 games in the tournament, despite millions and millions of brackets submitted each year.
The title game is set for the women's NCAA March Madness tournament. The South Carolina Gamecocks will put their undefeated record on the line against Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes — and per usual, South Carolina is favored.
Now that we are down to the last two teams, the defending champion UConn Huskies remain the favorites to win the men's college basketball national title. Despite Zach Edey and the Boilermakers playing great basketball, the Huskies are considerably favorites as of Monday morning.
The odds of a perfect 63-game NCAA bracket can be as high as 1 in 9.2 quintillion — though those are the perfect bracket odds if every game was a 50-50 coin flip.
No perfect brackets remaining in men's March Madness, with less than 1% remaining in the women's tournament. Yassine Gharram celebrates Yale's upset victory over Auburn in the first round of March Madness. It's taken just 31 games of the men's March Madness tournament, but there are no perfect brackets remaining.
Key Facts. USA Today Sports will offer $1 million to any contestant who correctly fills out a perfect bracket—meaning they correctly choose the winner of all 67 games in the tournament on either the men's or women's side—and another $25,000 to the contestant with the best bracket.
The odds of filling out a perfect bracket are one in 9.2 quintillion. Written out, that's 9,223,372,036,854,775,808. CHARLOTTE, N.C. — March Madness is officially here.
Various approaches have been taken to estimate the chance of predicting a perfect bracket. There are 263 or 9,223,372,036,854,775,808 unique combinations of winners in a 64-team bracket, meaning that without considering seed number, the odds of picking a perfect bracket are about 9.22 quintillion to 1.
What is the longest an NCAA bracket has been perfect? Greg Nigl of Columbus, Ohio, set the NCAA Tournament bracket record in 2019. He correctly predicted the winner of the first 49 games, breaking the previous record of 39 set in 2017 and becoming the first person to carry a perfect bracket past the second round.
The last verifiably perfect men's NCAA bracket busted in 2023 when No. 16 FDU stunned No. 1 Purdue — only the second time a 16 beat a 1 in men's history. That came on the 25th game.
As crazy as it may sound, you do, on average, have a better chance of going to the golf range and hitting a hole-in-one — 1 in 12,500 — than scoring a perfect bracket. The same goes for hitting two holes-in-one in the same round: 67 million to 1, the PGA reported.
